Very well. I can only tell you what I know having played the role.

I clearly define Knowledge Management as the 'management' of knowledge
-- not the 'creation' of it.

The *key feature* of Knowledge Management to me is there are NO
'alteration' or 'modification' activities within the scope of the job.

To me, that's why they call it *Knowledge* Management -- you're dealing
with existing (pre-defined) material so that you just have to manage it,
not add to it, or modify it in any way.

No, it doesn't.

Any seasoning is *already* in there. KM just *accounts* for it and
reflects that it is there -- don't shoot the messenger!

KM is the ingredient list on the back-cover.

KM just reflects what is there by accounting for it. In this way, if you
want to change the menu, so to speak, you have an existing menu to refer
to as a reference. Put as much attention toward it as you choose --
nevertheless -- the *knowledge* has been managed so that it is available
for perusal.
