Sr. Information Architect

Description:
Lead the analysis, design and documentation of product architecture,
including labeling systems, organization of site structure, and navigation
schemes.  Develop and communicate high-level vision of product.   Research
and develop role-based goal and task models and usage scenarios.  Works
closely with multidisciplinary team to develop launch plans and
phased-development approach.

Responsibilities:
--Employ a user-centered methodology to develop a functional vision and
implementation plan that will meet the needs of those who will use the
product and those who are developing the product.
--Define site functionality, navigation, interaction, site architecture
schema, wireframes and functional specifications.
--Coordinate with fellow team members to ensure product remains true to
stated goals of functional design throughout development of product.

Qualifications:

systems.
--Ability to communicate effectively with members of a diverse
multidisciplinary team including project management, visual design,
engineering, and quality assurance teams.
--Ability to keep the big picture in mind while attending to the details of
day-to-day problem solving.
--Extensive understanding of innovative graphical user interface design,
information design, and interactive design, and experience in designing
templates for database-driven dynamic content.
--Solid understanding of and experience with web technologies including both
front-end and back-end applications.
--Excellent written, oral and diagrammatic communication skills.

Education:
BA in human-computer interactions, product design or related fields.

Work Experience:
4 - 6 years experience in one or more of the following areas:  information
design, interaction design, user interface design, or software application
design.

Desired Technical Skills:
--Adept with relevant design and information flow software including Visio,
Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, HTML development.
--Familiarity with database design, enterprise relationship diagrams,
software lifecycle processes, and business processes.

Requirement:  Show samples of implemented online work and problem solving.
