Should he be so lucky to wait for the user to indicate which way to go, I
would like to know what he has planned for the users that get fed up with
the additions and go to other search solutions.

I don't know the man, but he is either being very vague in what he is saying
to make advertisers eager to support this idea or he is dangerously leading
his team to a project of, let's say, Titanic proportions.
