[Sigia-l] Demo UI versus the final UI

Hi,
I have noticed that when building (non functional) demo's for sales
purposes, the UI design tends to go to the colorful and busy: lots of
widgets are added that look cool but may be harmful if really
implemented like that on the final system.
Now, from a sales point of view, what are the pros and cons? A sales
demo is 'good' if it sells. On the other hand, it does set expectations
and in a way it can be bad client education. Do extra funky interface
widgets actually help the sale? What experiences have people had with
this issue?
Before hitting that reply button, please note I said "from a sales point
of view" :)
Cheers,
PeterV
