Just thought everyone would want to know that today AIfIA announced its
Translation Project (http://aifia.org/news/000168.php). The goal is to
provide introductory material about information architecture to folks
starting their IA careers as well as enlightening decision makers the world
over about the need for IA.

The project involves an international, multi-lingual team who are
translating articles about IA to and from various languages. The active
languages are currently Danish, Dutch, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese
and Spanish.

A couple of members of the SIGIA-l community were instrumental in making
this project happen. Peter Van Dijck is the project leader and Livia Labate
is the Portuguese language representative (comments guys?).

There are two aspects of the Translation Project that are worth noting here.
First, anyone can access the translations--they'll be available to all (for
free) on the AIfIA web site. Second, anyone can suggest articles for
translation by emailing Peter at peter at poorbuthappy.com.
