** Depleted resources (no food) + Over Population = Soylent Green **

I remember a great scene where people on the street are being scooped up
with a front loader and thrown into a dump truck like cleaning up a gravel
spill blocking the road.

I also thought the end-of-life reward was cool. A few minutes of being
immersed in virtual beauty before being sent off to the grinder.

There is much sci-fi out there that we laugh at for years, then forget
about, then realize it came true!?
