Dave,

The UPA has a "job bank" that has listings and links to other job banks:
http://www.upassoc.org/html/job_bank.html

Our local Minnesota UPA Chapter has area job listings
http://www.upamn.org/jobs/

Some other UPA chapters do the same:

The Texas DFW & Austin UPA Chapters seem to filter Monster listings for
members (listings look nationwide):
http://texasupa.org/texas/tx_upa_jobs.htm

Montreal Chapter:
http://www.upa-mtl.org/upa_emplois.htm

UK UPA Chapter:
http://www.ukupa.org.uk/jobs/index.htm

Still, one of the best ways to find an IA or usability related job in
the Minneapolis/St. Paul area is to get involved in a chapter -- attend
meetings and network with folks. I know quite a few usability group
managers who won't post an opening publicly until they tell chapter
members about the opportunity. They also prefer to hire folks who are
active in professional associations like UPA for a number of reasons,
not the least of which is that the applicant has demonstrated a high
level of interest in the field and a desire to continue learning from
others...

Participating in listservs is another way to network and learn.

Regards,

Lyle

On a separate note, do any of the other oganizations UPA, SIGCHI, or
AIGA-ED have job boards?
