If only everything were so black and white.

In this case, result sets will not be predictable or non-variable 
because of the inclusion of very different types of thesaurus on each 
search system. The result set will vary considerably because of this.

I was mostly interested in making sure that there wasn't some magic 
technique that I hadn't come across ;) Thank you everyone for your 
responses - I'm going to read them in more detail and figure out a 
plan...
