I had already asked you not to send me private messages. But you
insisted.
If you meet people at a conference and have a heated public debate
with them, that does not give you the right to walk up to their home
uninvited and knock at their door to continue the debate. What's more,
when you have been told not to disturb them at their home and you
continue, Mr. Eric Scheid, you can be arrested for trespassing.
Similarly, the fact that I am holding a discussion with you on this
discussion list does not give you the right to send me private
messages without my permission. Doing so is a privacy violation.
Most of us are ethical professionals. We don't call up our co-workers
at their home, despite their objection, to continue a hot debate that
was started in the office. In fact, we could even be fired for such
privacy violation.
So, I hope we can respect each other's privacy even though we
have strong disagreement on issues.
Boniface
