Well, let's try this again.

 From the archive above, I said:

"your task is to sort the stack of cards into like groups, which make 
sense to you. Once you are satisfied with the group, you should give 
that group a label that would make sense to you."

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see that that clearly speaks 
to instructions on how the exercise should run. And the funny thing is, 
the participants don't need explicit instructions on "how to sort into 
groups," as sorting the "cards into like groups, which make sense to 
you" is sufficient enough. And if you've ever done a card sort on 
content inventories or product features you would know this. There's 
nothing wrong with not having used this methodology before, as we're 
all here to learn from each other.

PS. I can only assume that you haven't actually done a card sort before 
for two reasons:
1. You simply refuse to accept that people don't need explicit 
instructions for sorting into groups.
2. You refuse to respond to any questions related to your experience in 
this area.
