Evaluating the labeling systems used by financial institutions
Good morning,
We are undergradute students from the School of Librarianship and Information
Science (LIS) of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Lima (Peru).
This term we have registered in the course Information Systems Analysis
and Design II which is focused in the Information Architecture approach.
Our teacher has selected the polar bear book (2nd. edition, 2002) as
our textbook.
Right now we are preparing an academic paper about the trends in the labeling
systems used by websites of Peruvian banks, but we haven't found any research
about the labeling systems used by financial institutions. Our idea is to
identify trends, patterns in the use of labeling systems.
For that reason we are writing to you because we think our theme has been
studied using semantic and content analysis, and as far we know you are an
expert in that area.
We have revised articles about content inventory but that's not precisely
what we are looking for. We are interested in studies about the labeling
systems applied to web sites.
Any comment or suggestion would be appreciated.
Thanks for your time.
Cordially yours,
Maria Quichua, Jessica Taype, Ruth Sanchez & Rossio Bejar
