I am aware PDF is a very useful file format and I've used it a lot in 
the past- I criticised a certain aspect of it, namely that it results 
in really bad search results generally because it can provide nodes 
that have a huge number of words in, and hence high relevance for 
everything.

Yes and that's a real world problem, for those of us here.

I asked whether there is anything IAs can do to improve implementation 
I never mentioned technology.

I'll ask again - what real world solutions can IAs think of get round 
the problem?
