Hi -

First an introduction is in order, as I am new to this list. My name is
Christine Connors, and I am a Technical Librarian with Raytheon in
Massachusetts. I have an MSLIS from Simmons, and intended to go the route
of the Reference Librarian. I have come to find that I am enjoying work
that I'm doing on IA, taxonomies and metadata here at Raytheon, as well as
web site development and management, on top of my "regular" library
duties. But I still have a great deal to learn!

We launched a remote card-sort experiment using WebCat. <http://zing.ncsl.nist.gov/WebTools/WebCAT/overview.html> It was fairly easy to set up and administer; the results are not
difficult to review. It's not pretty, but it gets the job done. Our main
obstacle is getting people to actually participate.

Good luck!
Christine

>Hi all,

Have any of you experimented with remote (open)
cardsorting of any kind? I need some feedback from
users but they are all on the road and not easy to get
into meetings. I would like to try to send an
electronic document if at all possible. Can any of you
point me in the right direction?

Thanks, Matt
