Um... actually I never said that. That's Boniface's response.

Myself, I think different approaches are needed in different situtations.
Sometimes it's categories, sometimes it's search, sometimes it's "best
bets," sometimes it's a combination of these and other things.

The other thing to be considered is the cognitive overhead different
approaches place on the user. To make a analogy, the command-line
interface is more powerful, efficient and flexible than a GUI interface.
But few people prefer to use it due to the overhead of having to remember
all the commands, instead of being cued to them the way a GUI interface
does.
