A few online documents talk about computer applications
where nouns identify objects (or major components of the
application) and verbs identify methods (or component functions
or actions). So, going with the quote above, the specific noun
(application component) has numerous optional verbs (methods).

I don't mean that my comment is definitive, only trying to mention
the object noun--method verb idea related to the specific nature
of nouns.
