Maybe "little IA" is really "Core IA" or "Deep IA" or "Shallow IA" or .....
:)
I think that the "Library Science Stuff" is to a great extend what
distinguishes IA from other disciplines in the broader field of Interface.
Usability and User Experience is more "shared ground" with other disciplines
than is search and taxonomy.
I think.
