Another standard, or more precisely a non-standard, is a glossary of terms.
We all think we know what a "content inventory" is, right? Yet, once we
delve into it and try to disambiguate a "content inventory" from a "content
audit", "content survey" (etc) we've found confusion, not clarity. This was
among experienced IAs ... when I look at job ads and project specs from
non-IAs I find even more confusion.

So ... would it benefit the IA industry if there was an agreement on the
meaning of terms? Would those meanings be just a fuzzy paragraph, or rooted
more in practical details (eg. a content inventory would typically contain
columns for x,y,x)
