Hi all:

I am writing to inquire about any opportunities for freelance interface or
interaction designers or possible collaborations. I am an interaction
designer, professor and artist currently in practice in New York City. My
education includes a Bachelor of Architecture degree from University of
Minnesota CALA and a Masters from Columbia University GSAP. Presently, I
teach Interface Design, Multimedia Studio and Thesis Studio in the MFA in
Design and Technology Program at Parsons and Interface for Public Space at
Columbia Graduate School of Architecture.

Four years ago, I transitioned from architecture to join Plumb Design as a
Site Developer constructing websites. My background in architecture allowed
me to easily conceptualize the projects and become active in their formation
and implementation. Plumb Design had no specific Information Architect role
as it was shared by the project team members. I ultimately created a new
position, a liaison between the design and technology departments, where I
worked on projects from their initial conceptual phase, creating conceptual
models and diagrams, to site launch and documentation. This new role while
called Technical Producer was effectively an Information Architect and
Interaction Designer rolled into one.

My independent work since leaving Plumb two years ago explores architecture
as an interface protocol between the activity of our daily lives and the
space of the network. Recent projects include PDPal (www.pdpal.com), a
mobile-based mapping and storytelling project, a wireless PDA interactive,
and a public curatorial environment for Mass MoCA. My work has been
exhibited in Berlin, Mexico City, Florence, New York and at the Banff Centre
for the Arts.

Thank you for your time.
I eagerly look forward to your reply.
