Ziya,
I also dislike bureaucracy. Standards (particularly when it comes to
deliverables) do not equal bureaucracy. Standards are about consensus and
coordinated effectiveness. Standards can take a collection of highly
talented individuals and make them a single unit that is greater than the
sum of its parts. Agreement on standards for process, deliverables, and
the like brings order to chaos. Standardized traffic laws are the only
thing that keeps the traffic moving.
I also do not advocate the licensing of IA but I do advocate clearly
defining what an IA is so we can all mean the same thing when we say it.
Furthermore a clear definition of an IA would make it a whole lot easier
to get big corporations to hire a few more of us. Like it or not big
corporations are machines. They are machines that require clearly defined
parts so when a part needs to be replaced there is a clear set of criteria
(specifications if you like) that are used to find the replacement. That
is reality whether or not you choose to acknowledge it.
Cheers,
Dave

I have nothing against you personally, as I don't know you. However, I
have
nothing but absolute disdain for IT bureaucracy and I'm not afraid to say
it. In that vein, I find your advocacy of compulsory licensing of IA
abhorrent, though I commend you for having the guts to say it publicly,
when
many who wish the same don't.
