[Sigia-l] And then there's Inspiration

Ok, I don't get it.
Besides 2 issues I have never had a problem w/ Visio and those two issues
alone are no reason to leave it. MS is just as buggy as everyone else
putting out software on a regular release cycle.
Issues:
1. PDF problems. I was hoping Acrobat 6 was going to take care of them, but
it didn't. For some reason PDF doesn't like Martlett.
2. Mac compatibility. I haven't worked any place in 5 years where this has
been a problem.
The HTML rendering capabilities of Visio are quite amazing and when you want
to take paper prototypes and bring in some clickable prototyping it is very
useful to do and very easy to make.
Its use of background pages instead of templates is also good and finally
the stenciling is also very good.
For all those on an MSDN I really recommend trying out v2003 as there are
some great improvements in terms of smoothness and overall drawing tools. A
lot more tools for GUI development too.

Or perhaps that they have given up on the buggy Microsoft OLE model that it
is based on...
