Is this accurate? Must you have voted "yes" for the recall to be allowed
to vote in the replacement election? This sounds dramatically unfair.
I remember hearing that the initial wording of the law (which said that
you could not vote in the replacement election unless you voted for the
recall question) was struck down by the CA supreme court because it
conditioned voting in one election on whether or not you voted in
another election. One would think that, similarly, one could vote in a
recall election even if one was not in favor of having the recall in the
first place. Also, lieutenant governor Bustamante is saying "vote no for
the recall *and* vote for me as replacement.
This only goes to show just how likely it is that the ballot will be a
complete disaster.

The final count was only 155. No problem! :)
