[Sigia-l] Improving the Quality of Sigia (part 1)

Hi
I've been following the recent discussions and understand the
frustration of those who wish to leave.

Anyway... here are some ideas of how to improve the quality of the
list posted in response to recent activity.

Suggestion One: Limit the number of times that a person can post to
the list within one week.
20 times? 10 times? If you post more than this and if someone on
the list chooses to point it out
to the list administrators, then you can be booted from the list.

Note, that I am not suggesting that the moderator keep tabs on this
since that would be too much of a burden. So, for instance, if your
posts are really good and no one complains about the volume of them,
then you can stay on the list even if you go over the limit. But if
your posts are boring, pedantic or annoying and you go over the limit
and someone chooses to point it out to the list administrators, then
you will be booted from the list.

The moral of the story would be to keep your posts constructive and relevant.

My second suggestion follows in the next post.
