Oh, I use visio w/o a single lick of VB and it does everything I need it to.
I was responding to the complex stuff that the original poster was asking
for is all. Visio out of the box is a great tool for most of our work.

Also the cost to the IT staff for now managing a x-platform environment
would never be cheaper than a $30/hr. VB programmer to come in for a small
time project if you wanted to go that far w/ it anyway.
