Excellent questions and you're on the right track and it's always a good
idea to be sensitive to cultures; however be careful about generalizing
culture in terms of Spanish language and Spanish culture.   Spanish is the
language of many countries, regions, etc. so the culture of the people using
Spanish is diverse. Is the site meant to reach a specific Spanish speaking
audience?

You might be best served and so would the users by contacting localization
specialists not just translations.  Places like www.LanguageWorks.com do
this sort of thing.
