designer for many key 725 Solutions products. Previous
experience includes 9 years at the IBM Toronto
Laboratory.
Summary of John's presentation:
Mobile devices open up an exciting world of pervasive
functionality and convenience, but as mobile devices
become more and more common, the usability problems
associated with these devices and the applications
they run are becoming more and more apparent.
Usability issues are so important in the mobile
computing space that usability can make or break
mobile applications, mobile devices and even the
overall adoption of mobile computing.
Usability testing is an important component of user
centered design, but usability testing of mobile
devices is not as straightforward as testing other
applications. This presentation will examine the
usability issues inherent in the mobile space, as well
as the challenges of performing usability tests on
these devices.
See you all!
