I'd like to invite you to the next meeting of the Usability 
Professionals Association (UPA) - Minnesota chapter.  We're very 
excited to have Susan Weinschenk as our invited guest.  Susan is an 
outstanding speaker and the topic is sure to be of interest to everyone 
planning or continuing a career related to usability.

Whether you are an old pro, still getting your feet wet, or not even in 
the water, but thinking about dipping in a toe, during this session Dr. 
Susan Weinschenk (an old pro herself!) will give her prognosis of the 
near and far future of careers in usability.

Susan Weinschenk is the owner and principal consultant with Weinschenk
Consulting Group. For 25 years she has used her expertise in psychology 
to design technology products, including web sites and applications, 
for the Fortune 500. She has had three books published by John Wiley and
Sons and was chosen as one of the "Top 100 Women in Computing" by Open 
Computing magazine. Dr. Weinschenk is a highly-rated workshop and 
keynote presenter at national conferences. She has a doctorate in 
Psychology from Pennsylvania State University.

Directions:

Westbound on I94:
Take the Sixth Street exit. Take Sixth past Washington Street. The 
entrance to the visitor parking lot will be on your left. 

Southbound on 35E:
Take the 10th and Wacouta exit. Follow Wacouta Street to Sixth Street, 
turn right. Take Sixth past Washington Street. The entrance to the 
visitor parking lot will be on your left. 

Eastbound from Twin Cities International Airport:
Take Highway 5 East, which becomes West Seventh Street to Fifth Street. 
Turn right on Fifth Street and get into the left lane. Turn left on 
Washington Street. Go one block and turn left on Sixth Street. The 
entrance to the visitor parking lot will be on your left.

Northbound on 35E:
Take the Kellogg exit, turn right. Take Kellogg to Seventh Street and 
turn left. Turn right on Fifth Street. Turn left on Washington Street. 
Go one block and turn left on Sixth Street. The entrance to the visitor 
parking lot will be on your left.

Eastbound on I94:
Take the Fifth Street exit and follow to Washington Street, turn left. 
Go one block and turn left on Sixth Street. The entrance to the visitor 
parking lot will be on your left.

Checking In:
St. Paul Companies (SPC) are located in 2 buildings connected by a 
skyway.  You should enter the building at the Washington street 
entrance (the tall tower building). Because of security logistics, it 
would be best to arrive before 6 p.m.  If you arrive after 6 p.m. you 
will need to use the intercom to call a guard, who will then call JoAnn 
to let people in.  

Parking
There is a parking lot behind the building which you can enter from 5th 
street or 6th street - cost is $10. The Lawson ramp which is kitty 
corner from SPC (enter the ramp on 5th St. between St. Peter and 
Wabasha) costs $6 for the evening. The ramp at Marshall Fields, which 
is a block away (entrances on Wabasha and on 6th St.) costs $3 for the
