[Sigia-l] redesign: incremental or all-in-one?

In my experience, much depends on how much you need to version the materials
you have there.
If you do updates weekly, then you'll need to update both the legacy site
and the in-development site at the same time so that when you launch the new
site it's content is up to date. This can be a major pain.
Depending on what the "circumstances" are, you'll need to make a number of
major changes, whether you do them incrementally or not. The one advantage
of a all-in-one switch is you only confuse your users once. If you keep
tinkering over a 6 month period, you'll confuse people over and over again
throughout the whole period as you move things around..
