Please note: We're holding this month's meeting is on the 3rd
Tuesday, rather than the 4th, because of Thanksgiving.

AMC Net Content/Chicago
"Writing Effectively for the Web"

When: 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002
Where: Illinois Institute of Art, 350 N. Orleans, Chicago (The
Apparel Center), First floor, Room 124
Cost: Free for AMC members, $10 for non-members

Just because it works in print doesn't mean it works on the Web.
Presenting material online demands new ways of writing, editing,
creating graphics and presenting content. Professionals must be
mindful of these approaches to thrive in an increasingly competitive
online environment.

Among the topics in this presentation:

* People don't look at online content the same as they do printed
material. Learn the surprising results of the latest scientific
studies.

* How to avoid creating a comprehensive, fact-filled - and unreadable
- online version of your organization's printed material.

* Building a team of writers, editors, designers, photographers and
content managers is difficult enough. But how do you ensure that
other stakeholders come to share your new vision?
