While there might be ease of use issues, there are security concerns.

An example I can think of is one of the last places I worked, where the Customer Support had the ability to credit users account
with money. Considering the security issues involved, having a time out over 15-20 minutes was a security risk (consider what would
happen if someone sat at someone else's station).
