[Sigia-l] Useful Splash Screens

I always felt that splash screens, if absolutely
necessary (i.e. the client insists), could somehow
indicate what the site itself is about. That is,
somehow let the user know what can be found there,
what tools are available, etc. Not exactly a guided
tour, but a sneak preview to the site, or something
along those lines. 

Don't have any concrete examples and don't know 
how to implement such an animal, but its a thought.
