Marie,
You might want to avoid scandals, crimes, and bribes. Although
sometimes I think crime gets a bad rap. In my experience, every
project has politics, but you'll get to experience the project politics
of political groups and politicos. Talk about exciting!
I think you're right, you definitely want to avoid the "usual myriad"
stuff too.
Sorry, I couldn't resist. There are clearly no words of wisdom here,
BUT my favorite expert has a whole list of things to watch out for:

I'm about to embark on the design of a site for a political party. Does
anyone have any words of wisdom, experiences to share, things I should
watch
out for in addition to the usual myriad things?
Marie
