Hello Derek,
Not to take anything away from your caveat . . .
What is encouraging is that there will (always?) still be a need for
those with information or library science backgrounds and similar
training/skills. We will create those taxonomies, build those thesauri
so that this technology is worth something in the world of normal
workers.
The day MS can completely and successfully analyze entire texts
(assigning keywords matched to the correct synonym and categories
according to function) is the day I'll sweat.
In the meantime, those who can successfully *market* their IA skills
should not be worried.
