Quick thought on "User Engineering"...

Maybe it's not "engineering the users". Maybe it means the intended users
engineer the solution. Our job is to understand the user, talk to as many
as feasible, and build the solution they need. If the user isn't driving
the solution, then the result is just portfolio fodder.

In "user engineering," the user is the subject, not the direct object.
