Lyle Kantrovich asked:
>Would we ever have IA generalists and IA specialists?

We have something like IA generalists and IA specialists; we oten use visual
designers and senior copywriters to create site maps and wireframes for
smaller, information-driven sites while using IAs for the larger more
functional heavy stuff. Its a decision based on both the practical issue of
staffing, and the desire to help drive the sensibility and skillsets out
into the larger organization.

To follow the medicine analogy a bit further:

Would we ever have IA generalists and IA specialists? Medical family
practice doctors are experts at triage and common ailments. They help
people find the right specialists when they are unable to diagnose or
treat something.

Are metadata experts the "brain surgeons" of IA?
