Hello,

Please excuse my jumping in where I don't belong. I am an
independent businessman in the Atlanta area. A friend suggested I
subscribe to this list. I have been following it for a couple of
weeks and have found the posts enlightening. I am not an information
professional. However (I saw a question about this from Lisa Chan),
I did write a fairly extensive research paper on Digital Asset
Management for the printing industry back in 1999 when I was a
consultant for CAP Ventures. Although a bit dated, the executive
  summary is still available here:
  <http://www.tfrazier.org/ExecSumDAMfinal.pdf>
in case anyone could find it useful.

I'm starting a small business, (not an information business) and
have a project I think could:
  * Benefit from having the insight of an Information Science
  professional
  * Be of interest as a research project to any IS student interested
in how information systems can be used in small to medium
  enterprises.

I do not have a large budget for this, as it is an experiment. But
someone suggested I might find good resources in a graduate-level
program in Library or Information Science. I was wondering if any of
you know of good graduate IS programs in the Atlanta region, or know
  anyone I might contact.

I have looked at the MLM program at Georgia State, but it does not
seem geared to what I want to accomplish. I could, however, be
  mistaken.

  Any help is appreciated.

Cordially,
