The solution to this is not to ask for the abolishment of Flash or, dare I
say, across the board improvement of the S/N of the HTML page. The average
'weight' of a web unit (page) has been steadily increasing, and will do so
in the future. Not coincidentally, the web access speeds have also been
steadily rising and will continue to do so in the future.  The solution is
to eradicate non-competitive, archaic telecom fee structures. Indeed, even
in countries where there's still per-minute charges, there are now special
area codes that allow you to access the internet at much reduced rates.
