Nice but overkill.
It really only took no more an hour to figure things out. Skews and
rotations are combinations of 30- or 60-degrees. The biggest difficulty is
figuring out the amount of x-y offset among elements, which just has to be
measured (or calculated for those who remember their trig), since that's
dependent on the size of elements being used. Just remember to write it
down, once you've figured it out.
But if you need to do actual 3D objects, Hot Door looks quite useful. Wish
I had it when I did some packaging design jobs way back when.
