[Sigia-l] Fun with output - Who uses a plotter?

One of the first things I did when I got to my current job was to order 11x17 paper. :) It's nearly impossible to convey a design (and especially the accompanying annotations) and not have it be microscopic on anything less.

Of course, since there is only one black-and-white printer that will print that size in-house, it is limiting and often difficult to share documents with people, both in and out of house. Few have access to the printer, and fewer still even have 11x17 paper to print it on!

If I moved to 8.5x11, everything would either be too small for comprehension, or else I'd have to move the annotations to a separate page, neither of which is ideal, so I stick with the bigger size despite the printing hassles.

I've also had trouble finding a reasonable home printer that will print 11x17, perferably color. Anyone have any suggestions?
