[Sigia-l] "The categorical imperative"

"From Soup to Nuts: The categorical imperative" is a cute article in the
current issue of The Atlantic, for all fans of taxonomy.

Where else can you see in a popular magazine words like "erubescentia" and
"latrinalia" in the same article? Or learn that some dogs may conceptually
be cats or that it may be best  to categorize books "according to the age at
which it is best to read them."

Anyway, if by this time you're thinking, hey this is great, maybe The
Atlantic appreciates us, the article is anchored by a cartoon in the middle:
a disheveled, desperate man begging, next to a sign that says, "Will
categorize for food." :-)
