Couldn't agree more.  Generally makes for more productive and happier teams.
None of this "Your chocolate's in my peanut butter - your peanut butter's in
my chocolate" infighting when spheres of expertise are invaded.  Besides, if
you really want to spend all your time deciding HOW the app should be
implemented, you ought to be getting paid to program. I, personally, for
one, my own self, am more than happy to help clients figure out WHAT the
app/site/X should do and leave it up to the inscrutable ;-) developers to
make it work.
