I am a google fan, and use the toolbar.  I do think we are lucky they
have competition, though.  The competition keeps web search free, for
now.

Maybe they do have "tricks up their sleeves," but I would be reluctant
to criticize, or even withhold deserved praise, because of what they
*might* do.

When you have an entity as powerful as Google, it is good to be a little
paranoid though!
