The kinesis ergo kbs are nice (i have used them at the special needs unit
at my university) but they cost a lot. on thing which is very cheap is
switching to a dvorak keyboard layout. this is a cheap and simple as
buying a set of stickers for your existing kb and telling windows to
switch to the dvorak kb layout. it take a little while to get used to
where the keys are but since the layout is much more effient most of your
typing is done from the home positions reducing strain on your hands.
other things to do. always make sure you are sitting correctly a straight
back with you legs below your knees at a right angle to the floor is best.
try and make sure your hands are above your keyboard since this helps your
wrists a lot. some people also use splinted gloves. these are *bad* since
they effectively make your wrists weaker. it is much better to use a
correct posture.
I hope this helps, since strain related injury is something we are all
fighting when spending much daily time on a computer.
