[Sigia-l] tabbed design user test

Tabs succeed or fail on their nomenclature and if they really look like
a tabbed system. If the names are good, and the tabs are clearly
visually defined as tabs then they work.

We have tabs but the designs are not so clear and our names are not so
clear which is why they failed miserably. As soon as we changed the
visual look there was a 50% improvement, and then by changing the names
we could make further improvements, but changing names requires more
teams to approve.

Subject: [Sigia-l] tabbed design user test

Hi all!

Its me again...

I'm working with a client's usability person to design the tasks to go
through a tabbed e-commerce design. The tabs are basically for more
information like product specs and awards. Any thoughts on problems that
are currently known with tabbed designs I should include on my testing?

Thanks for the assist!
