Indeed a bit touchy subject these days, especially when you live
about 20 km from The Hague and read about the "Invasion of The Hague Act"
in the newspapers. I'd rather have America bring us an ASIS conference :-)

Not to be a wet blanket, or an ugly American, or to speak for ASIS, but 
ASIS is the AMERICAN Society for Information Science and Technology. It 
would seem strange for them to decide to hold a meeting outside of 
North America. Perhaps their scope has changed and it is time for a 
less parochial title?
