[Sigia-l] Template/CheckList for Supporting Information to Put on a Website

This may be a needle in a haystack type question but I'm working on the
supporting documentation for the website I'm managing and am wondering if
there are any articles/templates/checklists other list members might suggest
in terms of "What One Should have on a website."

My specific project is a website/image database of historical documents, so
at the moment I have an unorganized/informal list of topics to address such
as: 1) Background technical information (in our case imaging and metadata
standards), 2) Copyright & citation information, 3) Reproduction/Purchase
information, 4) Technical requirements for viewing/using the website
(browser level, connection speed, & image viewers) 5)"How To" information
for searching the image database.

So as a sanity check I'm wondering if others have found themselves in this
situation (figuring out which topics to address and how to structure them
into the site) and what resources they found useful. If I'm being too
oblique, contact me off list and let me know ; ).

Best,
