Hi everyone:

It has been a couple of months since I initiated an e-mail list (yahoo
group) to further discussion about developing tools to help us with our true
day-to-day tasks as IAs & interaction designers.

You can signup by sending an e-mail to
Subscribe: IAToolDev-subscribe at yahoogroups.com
<mailto:IAToolDev-subscribe at yahoogroups.com>

If you do signup, I'd appreciate if you could join the Yahoo Group (sorry
about that) and read the archives, though this isn't a requirement.

Many people have joined this list in the past month, but have not
participated, so I want to clarify why this list was setup and what the
list's end goal is to accomplish and what our short term goals are for now.

Our end goal is to either facilitate existing software providers in the
production of tools, or customization of tools that fit our needs, or to
actually set forth and to create extensions and customizations, or create a
whole new tool (or tool set) for our industry.

In the short term, we need to better explore what are the tool needs for us,
as well as what currently we use and why, and where these current tools fail
us. So for now I encourage anyone who is interested in discussing the issues
behind tool development and tools in general for IAs and interaction
designers to please join.

Thank you,
-- dave
