Hi Heather,
Sorry 'bout that :)

I wasn't really trying to define a process or anything (bit bored with that 
as I'm sure are we all). I was just thinking about it, and the diagram 
helped: there are so many ways of doing research, and they all work 
together in complex ways. So what are the ways in which they interact? And 
how do we choose them? The way I tend to pick a certain research or 
analysis methodology for a certain project is just on a gut feeling: "this 
is what this project needs."

As you say, projects are all different, and need a different mix of 
methods. How do you choose which methods you use? Is there any logic in there?
