[Sigia-l] Feedback on PICS ratings

The subject of PICS ratings came up in a meeting
yesterday. I seem to be one of the few people in
the office that know what they are.

The question posed to me was: How reliable are
they? If we use these as a filtering device, can
we be *pretty* sure that porn sites won't label
themselves as family friendly? 

What has your experience been with PICS? Are they
even used?
