Froehlich, Director of the Masters Program in Information
Architecture and Knowledge Management, will provide an overview of
the program and its online options in the area of Knowledge Management.

Bedford, the incoming Goodyear Professor in Knowledge Management,
will speak about her background, experience and expertise in
knowledge management and will provide an overview of the two courses
she will be teaching for the IAKM program in the fall, Foundational
Principles of Knowledge Management and the Economics of Information.
Dr. Bedford holds a Ph.D. in Information Science from the University
of California, Berkeley. She has been the Senior Information Officer
at the World Bank since 1997, where she is responsible for management
of the World Bank's core metadata strategy, including content type
strategy and the various ontologies that support Bank metadata.
She has taught courses at the University of Tennessee, Georgetown
University, Catholic University of America, University of Richmond,
and George Mason University.
