Hi,

Missed your first message because David had knee replacement surgery
Monday, and I've been out of work a lot. He's fine and now in rehab, but
there is much running about, etc. Thank you for asking me to moderate the
panel, and I'll look at the information and get back to you Tuesday. We'll
be in Europe part of next Fall, so I'll check the dates o f the conference
as well.

Hope you are well!!

Louisa

Hi, team (and Louisa, who was so encouraging in Milwaukee):
Happy New Year! Hope 2008 finds you healthy and smiling.

I am not sure how you feel now about next year's ASIS&T and a follow-up
presentation by our panel. I had to catch up on so much at work after the
conference that I have been slow to get back to you all. But I hope you
still want to do it again. Also, I hope Louisa Rodgers will consider being
the moderator and representing the SIG-MED. The panel could be co-sponsored
by SIG-KM and SIG-MED again. I would appreciate your reply and any
revisions/updates from you by January 14 --or any time next week. Thanks in
advance.

Attached is a revised (see red text) proposal. I have changed our questions
to match the areas listed in the 2008 call for participation (* see below).
This year the theme is 'Transformation' rather than 'Social Networking.'
Instead of individual presentation titles, I used our names and the
questions based on theme and Call for Participation....will this work for
you?

I think we have a chance again and was so pleased with how well we covered
different aspects of medical and health records as a panel last year. How is
your research and other work going now? How might you update your
presentation for Oct 2008?

I encourage minimalist writing effort so that we can make the panel very
interactive. This is our Second Showing --let's have fun and engage
audience. And I want each of you to brag about your work. I think it is
excellent!

Regards, Deborah Swain (919-833-9028)
p.s. I am trying to find more of my notes from 2007 ASIST in case there is
additional support from other SIGs or specific input for us. Please let me
know if I left anything out.
